Usage Context:

Plum flowering and fruit setting stages require high nutrient supply and environmental stability. If root absorption efficiency is insufficient or nutrient metabolism in the tree is limited, issues such as uneven flowering, low fruit set rate, and slow development of young fruits may occur, and late spring cold or water fluctuations can exacerbate flower and fruit drop. During the fruit enlargement to colour change stage, the demand for potassium, calcium, and functional nutrients significantly increases. If soil organic matter is insufficient, rhizosphere activity declines, or nutrient transport is inadequate, it can easily lead to slow fruit enlargement, differentiation in fruit size, insufficient sugar accumulation, uneven colouring, and pre-harvest cracking, directly affecting yield and market quality.

This trial centres on the foliar spraying and root irrigation application of Ultralgae® Ca-Mg + Aminomix LQ, investigating its effects on plum growth vigour, root activity, and overall nutrient utilisation efficiency.

Before use, the overall growth of the plum tree was moderately weak, with some leaves showing laxness and insufficient firmness. The development of new roots was slow, with a relatively low number of fine roots, and the tree's rhythm was slightly behind the normal growth cycle, limiting fruit set rate and fruit expansion potential.

【After 20 days of use】

The test results indicate:

1. Root System and Growth Vigour

Root vitality significantly increased: 20 days after application, root excavation showed a noticeable increase in new white roots, dense fine roots, more even root distribution, and loose, fresh-smelling rhizosphere soil;

Above-ground growth is robust: new shoots are sprouting neatly with uniform internodes, leaves are thicker and dark green, photosynthetic function is enhanced, and overall tree vigour has improved from weak to strong.

2. Flower and Fruit Development
Fruit Set Stability: The drop-off rate of young fruits in the treated area is significantly reduced, with high uniformity of fruit set;
Accelerated Fruit Growth: Fruits enter the rapid growth phase earlier, with uniform individual fruit size and a lower incidence of deformed fruits;
Improved Colour and Quality: Fruit skin is smooth, colour is bright, and commercial value is markedly improved.

3. Yield and Stability
Increase in effective yield per plant: Individual fruit weight increases, the proportion of large to small fruits improves, and the marketable fruit rate increases by more than 20%;
Stable yield during the harvest period: Maturity is relatively concentrated, pre-harvest fruit cracking is reduced, yield stability is enhanced, and overall benefits are significantly improved.
