Background

During the young fruit enlargement stage, nutrient competition within apple trees intensifies significantly. In some orchards, excessive early nitrogen application or overly vigorous tree growth often leads to excessive shoot elongation, overly tender dark-green leaves, and imbalanced vegetative growth. These issues may result in slow fruit enlargement, uneven nutrient distribution, and poor coloration later in the season.

At the same time, high temperatures and continuous rainfall can reduce photosynthetic efficiency, limit micronutrient absorption, and cause uneven fruit development, ultimately affecting fruit quality and yield.

This trial evaluated the overall performance of ULTRAMINO in regulating excessive vegetative growth, promoting fruit enlargement, improving leaf functionality, and balancing tree nutrition through foliar application.

Before Application

Some trees in the test orchard showed excessive vegetative growth, with rapidly elongating shoots and long internodes. Certain leaves appeared dark green but lacked thickness, indicating weak functional leaf activity.

Fruit enlargement was relatively slow, with uneven fruit size observed in some areas. Nutrients were mainly directed toward shoot growth rather than fruit development, limiting fruit nutrient accumulation.

Results After Application (8 Days Later)

Eight days after ULTRAMINO application, the overall nutritional status of the apple trees improved significantly:

Vegetative Growth Regulation

Shoot overgrowth slowed noticeably, branch growth became more balanced, and the relationship between vegetative and reproductive growth improved. Tree vigor shifted from excessive vegetative growth toward stable and balanced development.

Greener and Thicker Leaves

Leaves became naturally greener with improved glossiness and thickness. Functional leaf quality and canopy uniformity improved, resulting in enhanced photosynthetic performance.

Fruit Enlargement and Quality Improvement

Young fruits enlarged more rapidly, fruit surface smoothness improved, and fruit size uniformity increased. Enhanced nutrient accumulation laid a solid foundation for later coloration and sugar accumulation.

Balanced Tree Vigor

Overall tree growth became more coordinated, nutrient distribution more balanced, and competition among leaves, shoots, and fruits was reduced, supporting stable yield and improved fruit quality.
