Diagnosis of trace element deficiency in plants

Plants lacking different trace elements will lead to different growth problems. The following are common trace element deficiency symptoms and supplementation methods.

1.Iron deficiency

Consequences: manifested as "chlorosis" or "chlorosis". At first, the flesh of young leaves turns yellow, and the veins are still green. Later, the whole leaf completely loses its green color. Fruit trees are iron deficient for a long time, and the top new shoots die.

2.Zinc deficiency

Consequences: Plants are short, rust spots appear in the middle of the base of rice leaves, gradually expanding into strips, and in severe cases, the leaves lose their green color; the young leaves of fruit trees become smaller, with chlorotic spots, forming clusters of leaves, and "small leaf disease" occurs; corn has "flower white leaf disease", etc.

3.Manganese deficiency

Consequences: Yellowing between veins, spots appear, and leaves die in severe cases

4.Boron deficiency

Consequences: Root system is poorly developed, growth points and young leaves curl and deform, leaves become thicker and harder, flower organs are not fully developed, easy to fall off, and various crops have "flowers but not fruits" diseases, etc.

5.Copper deficiency

Consequences: Young leaves shrink, plant growth is weak, leaf color changes, and leaf tips turn white.

Supplementary suggestions:

Foliar spraying: quickly relieve symptoms.

Soil application: long-term improvement of soil nutrients.

Reasonable fertilization: avoid excessive fertilization to prevent poisoning.
